NAESCO Appoints New Ombudsman

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 12, 2024 - R. Keith Gordon, a practicing attorney with Duncan Weinberg Genzer & Pembroke, P.C., specializing in Green and Sustainable Development, Renewable Energy Projects, Smart Building Technologies, Environmental, Social and Governance ("ESG") issues, and large-scale real estate development, has been appointed as the new Ombudsman for the National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO). Mr. Gordon succeeds Rob Lipstein of LARC Consultants, LLC, who commendably served as NAESCO's Ombudsman for the past decade.

In addition to his new role as Ombudsman, Mr. Gordon contributes his expertise to NAESCO's Accreditation Committee, further strengthening his commitment to advancing ethical standards within the energy service industry. Mr. Gordon also serves as a Board Member for the City of Franklin, TN Sustainability Commission. Furthermore, he holds the position of Board Member and General Counsel for TenneSEIA, the Tennessee Chapter of the Solar Energy Industries Association.

As Ombudsman, Mr. Gordon will leverage his legal and business background and extensive experience working with ESCOs, sustainability and renewable energy project developers, and contractors. His primary focus will be on conducting investigations based on submitted complaints from both end customers/clients and peer companies in the industry.

"I am honored to take on the role of Ombudsman for NAESCO and follow in the footsteps of Rob Lipstein. I am committed to upholding NAESCO's ethical guidelines and working towards the organization's goal of maintaining a fair and mutually beneficial environment for all its members," Mr. Gordon stated upon accepting the position.

Mr. Gordon emphasizes that the role of NAESCO's Ombudsman is not to mediate or arbitrate disputes but to review complaints in light of NAESCO's ethical guidelines. The goal is to ensure that member companies adhere to the highest ethical standards, fostering a positive and collaborative industry environment.

NAESCO remains dedicated to ensuring that its member companies act in ways that promote the collective success of the industry, and Mr. Gordon is well-positioned to contribute significantly to this mission. To learn more about NAESCO's Ombudsman, visit https://www.naesco.org/ombudsman/
