Job Description

Summary

Seeking a sales professional with experience, and proven exceptional results, of product sales into the Energy Service Companies (ESCO's), energy consultants, and utilities markets.  This individual will assist in the development of a newly formed business by creating and executing effective strategies for product sales to ESCO market customers by incorporating Hunter products in the equipment package to ESCO clients.  Identify targets within ESCOs, navigate target’s hierarchy to identify key decision makers, educate decision makers on differentiators of HIF products, and facilitate sales efforts.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and network within the ESCO, energy consultant, and utility markets.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and development of the newly targeted ESCO market channel.
• Expand the ESCO customer base, increasing business by scaling from a project pursuit strategy to an account-based penetration strategy, with Hunter striving to be the "standard" for their project’s fan needs.
• Partner with energy saving consultants and design specifiers to include the Hunter Industrial fan solutions as an energy saving measure in their projects.
• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Drives business to reach assigned quota.  Is willing to commit to an annual quota and have his/her performance measured against the committed quota (sales and Gross Margin)
• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from trade magazines, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet web sites, and other sources.
• Develop deep understanding of the current and future product offerings. Provide market feedback to new product development process.
• Work with the Marketing team to guide marketing programs and collateral needs to effectively approach the ESCO market.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement innovative go to market strategies
• Develops and maintains relationships with key decision makers within the segment along with associated specifiers & influencers, facility managers and installation entities.
• Work closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to outline product scope, objective and value
• Identify new growth opportunities and promote opportunities to stakeholders
• Travels throughout the US to call on prospective customers within the identified industrial segment.

Education/Experience Requirements

• BA or BS required.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales or business development related positions in the ESCO industry.
• Must have proven ability to close business with a general emphasis on the commercial and industrial building segments.
• CEM, LEED accreditations is a plus
• HVAC, Fans or Lighting-related experience is a plus

Special qualifications or skills

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary with an ability to quickly develop relationships with all levels of customers.
• Strong administrative skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently
• Possess an aggressive approach to all stages of follow-up with customers.
