We have an immediate need for an Engineer II in New York City.
As an Energy Engineer at NORESCO, you will have a great deal of interaction with customers as well as other NORESCO staff including Sales, Project Development, Construction, Measurement and Verification (M&V) and other Engineering staff. You will also be representing NORESCO during customer sites visits, progress meetings, and sales presentations. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to possess strong verbal and written communication skills as well as a strong technical background. Here is a look at the responsibilities for this position.
?Conduct energy audits, develop energy savings calculations and develop cost estimates for energy conservation measures (ECMs) at large commercial and institutional facilities.
?Coordinate and schedule site visits with customers and NORESCO personnel.
?Analyze utility billing data to evaluate customer energy performance parameters.
?Identify and quantify energy conservation opportunities associated with HVAC systems, building automation systems, building envelope, and renewable energy technologies.
? Perform energy savings calculations using whole-building modeling (eQUEST, or other) and/or spreadsheet bin analysis methods to estimate savings associated with ECM upgrades.
?Perform cooling and heating load calculations to properly size new HVAC equipment (chillers, boilers, etc.)
?Develop initial cost estimates associated with mechanical energy conservation measures.
?Knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, motors and variable speed drives.
?Working knowledge of building automation systems, and the ability to develop control strategies to reduce energy consumption.
Experience / Qualifications
? 4 years’ experience in energy auditing and analysis, particularly related to HVAC and building automation systems
? Knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, motors and variable speed drives
? Working knowledge of building automation systems, and the ability to develop control strategies to reduce energy consumption
